Basic Life Support Provider (Initial, Renewal, Skills Session)
The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

The course provides the foundation for saving lives from cardiac arrest. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.

What does this course teach?

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Heartsaver®
AHA’s Heartsaver® courses are designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

This is a certification course for non healthcare providers. This is great for Police Officers, Security Guards, Life Guards, Babysitters, Coaches, Counselors, Teachers, etc.


Family & Friends® CPR
The AHA’s Family & Friends® CPR Course a video-based, classroom course intended for anyone who wants to learn CPR and prefers to learn in an Instructor-led or facilitated group environment. This course is for people who do not need a course completion card for a job or other requirements. Family & Friends CPR is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools and students, and others interested in learning how to save a life.
